Description

What is a Branching?
A "Branching" is the main access (main cable) from the street cabinet to the property that connects to all the apartments, typically running from the basement through the building via all the apartments.

There can easily be two or more "Branchings" in the same building, distributed on the right and left sides, etc.

What is a main line?
A "main line" is a broad term and can refer to several different things, such as the cable from the utility company to the street cabinet. The "main line" can also be from the street cabinet to the property's building and then into the property's meters.

In a property, you often have additional main fuses from the "Branching" and the street cabinet in the street. Typically, there are main fuses both in the street cabinet and in the building, usually located in the basement of properties with many apartments.
