ACelSHOP is built on more than 115 years of experience in the electrical industry and is the result of a generational transition where proud traditions have been carried forward into a modern company.

On September 23, 2004, ACEL Holding ApS was established in connection with the transfer of the electrical wholesaler Aage Christensens Eftf. ApS (founded in 1910) and the manufacturing company Columbus ApS (founded in 1921). The following day, the operating company ACelSHOP ApS was founded and took over the activities of the two historic businesses.

From October 1, 2004, the company continued its operations from Lille Strandstræde 14, a location that for decades has represented a wide range of agencies — particularly from German manufacturers within cables, switches, lighting, fuses, and cable glands. Traditionally, the customer base has consisted of wholesalers and OEM companies.

Since the 1930s, the Columbus printing system has been exported to the United Kingdom, and this part of the business remains active today. Parts of the production are now outsourced to Estonia and protected workshops, while development and quality assurance continue to be anchored within the company.

In response to increasing competition, ACelSHOP has significantly expanded its product range. Today, we offer a broad selection of electrical components and electrical products, with the majority being directly imported by us, combined with custom assembly, small production runs, and prototypes carried out in our own electrical workshop.

With a strong focus on product development, efficient logistics, and personal technical support, we look optimistically toward the future. ACelSHOP is constantly evolving — driven by experience, expertise, and a clear ambition to remain a reliable partner for industry, installation, and trade alike.
